US share $10m of first 100 million for Palestinians

US President Joe Biden's administration informed the US Congress that it would send $10 million financial assistance to Palestinians with the aim of promoting peace with Israel, even though the conflicts between the two sides are heated.

Assistance will be provided to Palestinian groups in the West Coast and Gaza to help co-operation and reconciliation projects with the Israelis, Telegrafie broadcast.

The State Department said today that this financial assistance is part of a vast amount of $100 million approved by the US administration for Palestinians earlier this year, thus cancelling the almost complete removal of support during former president Donald Trump's mandate.

The American Agency for International Development stressed that $10m will go to support groups of people in order to resolve divisions rooted in differences between nationalities, religions, status, classes or political affiliations in areas affected by conflict and war, ap reports.

They precisely stressed that money will be spent primarily on cross-border projects between Israel and the West Coast and Gaza.

The United States reiterated that Israel is right to self - defense. White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters that the administration has focused on ending the crisis diplomaticly.

Eight other Palestinians were killed in Gaza earlier this morning, bringing the total number of deaths to 139 since the beginning of Monday's attack. Israeli forces carried out nearly 30 air strikes in Gaza between Friday and Saturday.
