Sa SCUK seeks employment of about 600 nurses

The Kosovo University Hospital Clinic Service is seeking the addition of about 600 nurses to the health system. This request has been supported by the nursing community until a patient's rights association requires recognition of patients ' needs in the face of medical services. SHSKUK Director Valbon Krasniqi says that along with many other challenges to the pandemic management, the limited number of nursing staff has been challenging. Therefore, he says that recently at the Health Ministry, they have addressed a minimum requirement for adding about 600 nurses to Kosovo clinics and hospitals in order to increase the quality of medical services.

One of the main challenges of managing this pandemic is talking about patients in clinical terms who needed to receive hospital services has been the limited number of health staff, especially nurses. We have in time raised this as a matter of discussion and addressed it to competent organs, now also in the past. We have sent our minimum demands to one The commission that is drafting the arrangement for pandemic management in the coming months, and we are waiting for additional activities to include increased nursing staff for our hospitals... Whether we talk about standards like Kosovo we are off standards to meet the number of nurses for the number of patients' beds. We've made a minimum assessment with minimal demands being brought somewhere even around 500 to600 nurses that we would need at the level of our hospitals and clinics. QKUK to have better quality service and a very large number of nurses in proportion to the number of patients”, he said.

But such requests for fostering nurses in public health institutions have now addressed the Union of Nurses of Infermies. Kosovo. Chairman of the Union of Nurses of Kosovo, Fitim Havolli until it welcomes the leadership initiative QKUK, says of Kosova Prees, that along with the lack of nurses, concern is the departure of nurses to practice this profession abroad.

Based on their analysis with the aim of increasing the quality of medical services, an additional 5 thousand nurses are needed throughout the health system. Kosovo.

There is an extraordinary lack of this community, except that we currently lack another concern has been that nurses who have been employed because of the poor treatment of this community have taken the way to states. The EU where a better social and economic life is guaranteed... our analysis that has been done for years on this request has been in the entire system because you know that the health system in the system is in. Kosovo has the primary system, secondary and the tescriar am speaking at the level of the country is about 5,000 nurses the absence of this community... actually if we say that in the entire health system there are 5,000 biggest needs in QKUKUK because of the many interventions performed by the CKUK, about 2 thousand and 500 need only the health system within the University Clinic”, Havolli said.

The patient's rights association considers the lack of nursing staff at public health institutions in our country to be disturbing.

The belief Kodra from this association claims that increased nursing capacities would increase quality health services and impact them on time. According to him, an assessment of health services provided by health institutions and the needs of patients must be made before the figure is stated.

The lack of nursing staff in health institutions is very disturbing, and on the other hand we have clinics and hospitals where in certain departments they have more than doctors... therefore, without becoming a good estimate of the needs of patients they cannot and should not be added to nursing staff because we don't know exactly how much we need them. COVIDD-19 has mostly highlighted the lack of nursing staff, since in their absence, patient family members have had to stay with patients who have been dangerous even for the patient who has been lying down because the family does not have a certain qualifications to care for and then family members have left the clinic and have posed a risk of distributing COVID-19... . No doubt it increases the quality of health services and they can be taken in time, but currently, on the basis of some speculation, we can assume how many nurses we need”, he said.

On this request The University Clinical Hospital Service for the employment of even about 600 nurses in Kosovo's public health system has asked for an answer from the Ministry of Health, but the latter have not returned.
