The first reactions to the bombing of the media office, including the United States, have already come.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has reacted via social network, Twitter.
“We have directly communicated to Israelis that ensuring security and not jeopardising journalists as well as independent media is a key responsibility”, she wrote.
Meanwhile, AP President and CEO Gary Pruitt has said among other things that he feels shocked and terrified.
“We are shocked and terrified that the Israeli army targets and destroys the building that houses the AP office and other news organisations in Gaza. They had long known the location of our office and knew that the journalists were there. We received a warning that the building would hit”, he claimed.
