From this Diocese have hinted that their response to the prime minister about the visit to the Decani Monastery is negative, since they say such a demand and letter makes no sense until previous decisions about Manchester's property are respected.
“Albin Kurti has sent yesterday to the Decani monastery, the Diocese of Raska, and Prizren continue to keep its clear position that, if the Kosovo Albanian institutions want to testify to the minimum will to respect the rights of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo, they are obliged to fully implement the Kosovo Constitutional Court's decision, which recognises ownership of the monasteries. This decision has been constantly ignored for 5 years, despite requirements for implementation by the monastery and international representatives.
In spite of this, the Minister of Spatial Planning of the Kurti Government has publicly rejected the Council's decision to implement and monitor November 2020 in construction of the transit route around the monastery's protected zone. The reduction of this decision, which has been adopted with international mediation, reportedly is being called for violations of the Defence Zone law.
In this situation, the response of such letters, without prior respect for legal decisions and law enforcement, is completely meaningless”, says the response of Raska's Diocese and Prizren.
