Rama at a meeting with the Socialist deputies: Anyone who has not achieved the target, leave the place to someone else

On Monday afternoon, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has met with Socialist Party deputies, from which he also declared that those candidates for MPs who failed to achieve the target in April 25th elections should leave the country to someone else.

The “for me does not matter the individual votes everyone has received, but the realisation of the 12th goal of the Socialist Party's victory. The internal race must be carefully analyzed for the next match. But 74 mandates are much more significant, after a second term very difficult because of earthquake and pandemic. My first message is to be ready now to start winning in the upcoming local elections and the 2025 elections. Be ready to analyze the match just finished to figure out where we should step in. We need to launch a new opening campaign in the Socialist Party, where we open up opportunities for those who want to join the party. Anyone who has not achieved the target should give someone else the place. A special reshuffle commission must be established quickly to navigate this process”, Rama said.

The prime minister also invited the Socialists to co-operate with the Democratic Party.

“The second message is that no matter how much the DP attacks us, Albania has given us full support to lead, without wasting time and energy on accusations and daily counteracles. Powers should all be available to the vision Albania 2030. We didn't get a warrant to fight PD, but to advance big jobs. We should be ready to co-operate with the Democrats whenever possible, without losing it”, potencoi Rama.
