This will enable the old city of Prizren to return its well-deserved view, as dozens of pillars will eventually leave it, along with all cables, including cable operators.

In addition to the centre, the investment plan envisions that even roads around the tourist area and the fortress can be made with new underground energy infrastructure.

The value of this investment, amounting to about 600 thousand euros, along with the introduction of underground cables, included the complete establishment of new stabilisations in two substations that will supply these areas.

Through these investments, capacity increases will be made, which will provide security in sustainable and quality supplies to consumers.

That these investments that are being implemented in the centre of Prizren are welcome, says the mayor of Prizren's municipality, Mytaher Haskuka.

“These works that are under way in Prizren's historic centre on the part of the KED are very important and the same will create an even more beautiful view of our city.”, he said.

Meanwhile, ECDS Investment Director Hasan Oz stresses that this is only the beginning of major online investments in Prizren. “We believe that all historical sites in Kosovo should have the renovated network, and now the time is for Prizren's Sadervan. This is the first major investment step in Prizren to continue in the coming years”, Oz said.

KED's investments in underground networks are continuing with high intensity even in other Kosovo centres, where within a short future, it is envisioned that all city centres benefit from such investments.
