Vatican leader Pope Francescu has voiced his concern over the mounting tensions following violations by Israeli police against Palestinians living in the Eastern Framework under occupation.
After the traditional prayer he performs from the work office window he sees in St. Peter's Vatican Square, the pope spoke of developments that took place in the Kuds.
“I am following with a particular concern the developments experienced in the Quads”, said the Pope, who added that he prays that the Kuds will be a meeting place where violence is not present.
The pope further said: “I invite all to seek common solutions where brotherhood prevails and to respect the multireligious and multicultural identity of the holy city. Violence produces only violence, and I say enough already to conflict”.
