LDK, VV and PDK assisters in the Pristina municipality named Shpend Ahmeti as one of the weakest and most unemployed.

In an interview for the EO three assistants of these three opposition political parties say very little of what has been promised has been done by President Ahmeti.

Emine Nikci-Reja from the Democratic League of Kosovo, says none of Ahmeti's 100 promises have been realised.

For the 100 promises of Shpend is 100 of its famous promises, but realisation is zero. As for the end of President Ahmeti's second term as we see the realisation of his promises only beginning to take place, the realisations are almost 30% of the mandate, and this is a very bad thing for the capital, every corner is seen his non-work, and according to citizens this is the weakest and unemployed chairman that Pristina has ever had, Nikci-Redja said.

According to her and the group she represents, Mayor Ahmeti has not accomplished essential things, such as public enlightenment, wandering dogs and many other promised issues.

“In my opinion and the group that I represent here of LDK, President Ahmeti has accomplished only those easy jobs just to get through and say he did something. I can mention some of his promises here. The essential things have not been done, public lighting in many neighbourhoods has not been done, the question of stray dogs, regular urban traffic lines are missing in many neighbourhoods, the renovation of the Youth Palace has been promised, the construction of synthetic football fields is promised, and there is no result, and these are remaining only pre-election letters and campaigns, and the failure of President Ahmeti<18x1>, she said.

She says that despite year-on-year budget levels, there is no real report on budget spending, when capital investments are zero.

We have every year in the transport of budget levels year-on-year, where only this year we have a 34m-euro budget transport, we have a director in our municipality who has zero budget spending, and we have no real ratio from them, but capital investments are zero-”, she concluded.

Even Mirsad Vitita from the Vetevendosje Movement says President Shpend Ahmeti is far from any expectations of Kosovo's capitals, not having many promises pledged by him here.

The mayor is unfortunately far from expecting Kosovo capitals. Citizens of Pristina have expected much more from him, but unfortunately he has not fulfilled his promises, has not fulfilled all that he has promised. We are now at the end of his mandate and, as you know, Pristina today has problems similar to in 2017 that were and were not realised”, he said.

The year points out that of all those promises, neither 2/3 of the vows has been fulfilled.

If we take all of the mayor's promises, in 2017 when he's been racing, he's got 100 pledges in 10 fields, but unfortunately we can say from those 100 I think 2/3 of his vows have not been fulfilled. Today we don't have the city hospital, we don't have the theater, we have the gallery and we don't have many other projects that were promised and they're nowhere, his mandate is about to end, but they're not even in the beginning of work”, Vitia said.

“I, as a great optimist who I am and the high hopes I have had, knowing that in his first mandate he has complained that he does not have enough in the municipal assembly, I considered that majority in the municipal assembly was being reached this mayor will manage to push things forward, but unfortunately despite the fact that he achieved that number of other jobs doing gym in politics and leaving the Vetevendosje Movement, trying to do his own party, neither did he. Today we are where we are and it's four years lost, I think a three-year note would be very high”, he concluded.

On the other hand, Leutrim Retkoceri of the Democratic Party of Kosovo says promises pledged by President Ahmeti are at the lowest point of implementation, with a very low performance of management.

“The promises pledged by President Ahmeti are at the lowest point of realisation and unfortunately the Pristina municipality, along with this government, ranks in municipalities with the lowest performance of management and good governance for Pristina citizens, given that Pristina is also the capital of the extremely ill-fated lives of the citizens of Pristina where for eight years there has been a regress in the development of capital”, Retkoceri said.

Retkocer says implementation of many projects is too weak and left on paper without any serious projects.

The realisation is extremely weak, all we have to do here is that those projects remain on paper and realisation is nowhere. We've seen it as in the infrastructure issue so far there's not even been a serious move, and now when these moves are, they're just about to cover up some holes that unfortunately the Pristina municipality drivers are destroying their assets every time, on the other hand we don't have any serious projects other than the one that started underground parking lot and there's no other open parking lot. Of these eight years of governance, we have no new parking space created”, he said.

The Munges of Pristina Hospital, Retkoceri blames President Ahmeti himself after he said he acted with political resentment, reluctant to appoint a location proposed by former Health Minister Uran Ismaili.

“Situate with the pandemic was a situation where we as an opposition party played a supportive role for every initiative and proposal that came in order not to block by vote but to pass it to have something to benefit the citizens, at first it was a greater effort of the mayor of the municipality, but as seen from the end have not been noticed in terms of meeting with the pandemic, so we have seen that Pristina has missed the main project in this pandemic, and that was the absence of the Pristina hospital, which the mayor has decided to set up in this direction for a settlement by the former prime minister, and that shows everything that becomes political, New York's voice further.
