For increasing tensions, a statement issued to the media years ago by now Foreign Minister Donika Grovala served for Kosovo Specialised Chambers and former PDK leaders Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini, who had been named as people of crime.
PDK parliamentary group chief Abelard Tahiri, in his address in the Assembly, called Minister Grovall “representing Serbia in Kosovo”.
You are Serbia's representative in Kosovo. You don't represent me. You're the biggest shame. Today, if we had a responsible prime minister, he would have to download you today. You can't even be foreign affairs minister”, Tahiri told him.
But Foreign Minister Donika Grovall himself accused PDK deputies of being the main culprits who have helped establish specialised rooms.
You are exactly responsible that your leaders are in The Hague today. You will not be able to settle your affairs by denying the truth. Be serious, become serious opposition and confront your truth and do not deceive your voters”, Minister Gervala said.
This debate caused reproach and insults between power deputies and the opposition.
Attempting to Fight Physically
Disgusted with the development of works in the assembly, PDK deputies Memli Krasniqi, Ardian Kastrati and Hajdar Beqa were involved in a tense situation with the ministers and deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement.
While PDK deputies were launching the hall in protest, they clashed with Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci, who defended Minister Gervala.
Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Arberie Nagavci and several deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, including Salih Zyba and the new deputy, Besim Muzaqi, were included.
The clash and postponement between power deputies and the opposition lasted several minutes until this led to the disruption of the Parliament session.
Before this incident took place, MPs from the Democratic League of Kosovo also released the session.
They rejected the way the deputy chairman of the assembly, Saranda Boguyevci, was conducting the session.
Bugujevci faced LDK parliamentary group chief Arben Gashi.
After the session ended, Mimoza Kusari, who leads the LVV parliamentary group, said provocations and insults were serious by PDK deputies.
Muhariri: Tension meets all sides
Events that took place at the assembly are unacceptable to university legalist Artan Mujariri, but according to him, they occur because of a lack of concrete ideas and solutions to the needs of citizens.
These scenes may be present until the end of the current legislature.
These scenes actually confirm all parties when they have no concrete arguments, when they have no idea, when they have no plans that would improve the lives of citizens”, Muhramiri said.
Muhramir says both the position and opposition are not showing they have concrete ideas about how to get out of the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
The “has long been offered no idea of exit from the pandemic crisis, of the economic crisis, and it seems that the entire stagnation situation will produce such scenes in the future, said Mujariri.
Parliament passed recommendations for covering losses for the north
At the May 6th session of the Kosovo Assembly, it was scheduled to review the Commission's recommendations for Economics, Industry, Intervention and Market on the request of Kosovo's System, Transition and Electricity Market (KOSTT) for providing financial means for the coverage of losses in the northern part of Kosovo.
After MPs returned to the session, by 61 votes have passed recommendations on providing financial means for covering electricity losses in the northern part of Kosovo.
Under that decision, 11m euros of taxpayers will be separated to pay energy to Serb majority residents in the northern part of Kosovo. =
