That's all the state paid for protecting KLA leaders in The Hague

Kosovo has paid for six months around 1.6m euros for the protection of KLAC leaders in The Hague. The data for paying their protection so far was considered confidential, but the so far stop was considered unconstitutional and anti-legal. A million 578 thousand 857 euros and 35 euro cents [...]

A million 578 thousand and 857 euros and 35 euro cents have cost Kosovo's budget protection for seven indictees at the Special Court in The Hague.

Since October 2020, the Ministry of Justice has paid this amount of money for six months, to lawyers who are protecting former Kosovo Liberation Army superiors.

T7 has secured these expenses from the Ministry of Justice, following Minister Haxhiu's request for a change in administrative guidelines for publishing financial spending.

The directions Prime Minister Albin Kurti has approved.

This list of expenses leads Hysni Gucati's lawyer, Jonathan Rees. The resulting payment for it is nothing short of 315 thousand euros.

Following him, according to the up to date spending is the defence of Rex Selimi, the former KLA commander who is being tried in the “Thaci subject and others”.

Selimi's lawyer, David Young, has been paid by the state for 287 thousand euros.

While a consistent amount of money has been given for the protection of former KLA member Sali Mustaf.

For his defence, Dutch Von Bone under this board from the state budget has been executed over 271 thousand euros.

Meanwhile, a large figure is shared by one of the lawyers protecting former President Thaci at the Special Court.

One of the three defenders of former head of state, Pierre R. Prosper has so far been paid over 251 thousand euros.

The amount that for half a year has been earmarked for Jakup Krasniqi's lawyer is for over 242 thousand euros.

At least one of these data has been paid off by one of the three defenders of former SHIK chief Ben Emmerson.

British Ben Emmerson, who is protecting Kadri Veseli, has been paid more than 31 thousand euros.

Nasim Haradinaj's lawyer, Bat Mertens, for the October-November period has been paid 33 thousand and 648 euros, meanwhile, his other lawyer, Toby Cadman, for the short term has paid 144 thousand and 742 euros.

1,114,257,35 have been approved so far THE previous defense has withdrawn 464,600 thousand euros from the account.
