Education Minister Arberie Nagavci has said measures must be stepped up that punish child molesters to ensure a safer environment for them in educational institutions.
In addition to reviewing legislation, which in our opinion should increase the penalties for child molesters, especially in the case of staff engaged in schools, we have taken other concrete actions. During this three workers will be held with municipal education directors”.
She has said that the aim of workers is to once again become known to all legislation that is in child protection.
There will also be a worker for finalising the administrative instruction on child protection and preventing child labor and child violence”.
Nagavci has said there is a range of activities to co-operate with civil society and parents in conscious awareness of child protection, demanding that legislation in effect be respected under child prevention and insurance from any danger.
We will also see legislation that should be in support of children and there are measures that all need to know that any abuse of children, especially of those working with them, is a criminal offence”.
