Speaking from Ramallah on the West Coast, Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riad Malki accused Israel of being a <x0-state apartheid” that is practicing “crimes and brutality against the Palestinian people in Gaza”.
Malki urged Muslim countries to support the Palestinian people as well as impose political and economic sanctions against Israel.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu blamed Israel for the recent violence.
Israel alone is responsible for the recent escalation in East Jerusalem, the West Coast and Gaza”, Cavusoglu said.
The militant Islamic group Hamas launched a missile attack on Israel after weeks of tension in Jerusalem between Palestinians and Israelis.
The attacks followed objections to a court case to expel several Palestinian families in eastern Jerusalem and in retaliation for Israeli police clashes with Palestinians near the city's Al-Axa mosque, Islam's third most holy place.
Israel's revenge launched air and artillery attacks in Gaza.
The number of people killed in Gaza has increased to 174, including 49 children, according to Palestinians. Israel has reported 10 deaths, including two children.
