A video that's spread everywhere shows a man trying to kidnap an 11-year-old girl Tuesday morning at a bus station. Police are now trying to investigate the suspect and his car.
According to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at a bus stop at Old Kerry Field Road about 7am.
The video shows a white car driving around the area before pulling the 11-year-old girl waiting at the bus station. A man comes out of a car that he's allegedly armed with a knife, and he's got the girl.
Video shows a war between husband and daughter. The girl was able to fight and be released from her husband. The girl then took the bag and ran home as the man returned to the car and left.
Police say the girl is now safe with her family. She was scratched by the incident, but is largely intact.
The girl reportedly told investigators that the same man stopped her at the bus stop two weeks ago and spoke to him in Spanish, disturbing him. She reported the incident to the director.
The girl's mother then sent the child to the bus stop every day after meeting her husband. Tuesday was the first day she wasn't with her daughter at the bus stop.
This is a man who has been persecuting him for some time” said Sheriff Simmons.
