The competition's annulment decision, according to the MKRS announcement Wednesday, was made following the Commission's decision to review the Anques for Public Service Workers.
“Based on the Commission's Decision to Review Ankes for Public Service Managers, No. No. Protocol 1464/2021, dated 11,05.2021, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, announces the annulment of the competition declared on 26.11.2020, for the position of director general of the Kosovo National Theatre”, said at the MKRS report.
Two hours before Friday midnight, the Ministry of Culture had announced that it was done with the new Steering Council. Thus, the current leadership of the MKRS continues the practice of changing the governing bodies. The practice of previous governments has continued with regard to the appointment of party members to the institution's leading bodies. In the new composition, none of the members of the preliminary composition -- whose mandate did not last a year.
Armend Smajli, Ben Apolloni, Gresa Pallaska, Rebecca Qha, February Aliu, Visar Aliu and Brikena Mulliqi as MKRS representative are the seven members appointed by Minister Hajrula Ceku.
Minister Ceku himself during the election campaign had said he would make departisanisation of cultural institutions. But, with the appointment of director February Aliu to the highest TKK chairmanship body, he has made it the opposite. Aliu is a member of the Vetevendosje Movement, which also belongs to Minister Hajrula Ceku. In the 2017 elections, Aliu was also an LVV candidate for deputy. She kept number 42. On October 10th 2020, KD members of the TKK were named Agron Shala, Ramadan Musliu, Feim Maliqaj, Besim Rexaj, Mustafe Halili, Samka Ferry and Ismet Azem. Samka Ferri withdrew in February to replace with the director of the Podujevo Theatre, “Avdush Hasani”, Agron Grguri. The already dismissed council, on 11 March this year, praised Naser Shatroll for general director of the TKK. Also in the race were Blerim Krasniqi's Sheremet Conversion.
