As UN AP President Volkan Bozkyr announced on Twitter, “situate serious in Palestinian-treached territories” will be considered, at a time when “Israel is intensifying the offensive, risking the countless lives of civilians”.
The UN Security Council held three emergency sessions last week without a concrete conclusion, as the United States blocked the adoption of a resolution that called for an emergency ceasefire three times.
The rocket fire exchange between Israel and Hamas began 10 May near Al-Axa Mosque at the Temple Mountain in East Jerusalem.
In the last eight days of the conflict, at least 200 Palestinians, including 59 children and 35 women, have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
More than 1,300 civilians were injured and a large number of infrastructure buildings and facilities were destroyed and damaged. Missile attacks from the Gaza Strip killed 10 Israelis.
