He has written that the request for his release as ambassador to France had been made in December last year, while today he has accepted the decree by the president.
After my request made in December of last year, today I have accepted the President's decree to complete my mission in Paris. Serving your country as an ambassador is a privilege. Serving the country with devotion is a must. The representation of Kosovo in France, as well as in Andora and Monaco, and for a time in Portugal, has been an extraordinary honor to me”, he has written among other things.
Unlike the media, there were reports that there would be massive dismissals of Kosovo ambsadores in several states.
Gashi's full delivery:
After my request made in December of last year, today I have accepted the President's decree to finish my mission in Paris.
Serving your country as an ambassador is a privilege. Serving the country with devotion is a must. The representation of Kosovo in France, as well as in Andora and Monaco, and for a time even in Portugal, has been an outstanding honor to me. During this period I have defended our country's interests and tried to advance the excellent reports with the states where I was accredited, especially with France. Our report with France is essential for our European future.
Let me take the opportunity to thank you for the cooperation and support of all institutional leaders from 2016 until now, beginning with former President Jahjaga, who in 2015 took the initiative to appoint me. Until the official conclusion of my mission, I will continue to do the work of full devotion.
Thank you so much for Kosovo and the state French friend by me and life (as well as for Jani and Noley) bye soon!
