LDK vs. a negotiating team with all parties

LDK chief member Teuta Sahaqi has voiced opposition to a negotiating team for developing Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, saying that in the constitution it is determined that the government should deal with it. The same has ruled out the possibility that the political subject it represents be part of this team.

Sahaqi has made these statements at Balkan Talk in Euronews, while discussing the matter of dialogue documentation, which the current government says has not yet taken from the previous one, writes Express.

We have offered Mr. Kurti, even Mr. Hoti's still working. We do not agree to create a negotiating team from all parties, as according to the Constitutional Court of Dialogue is guided by the government. That is what we support and we, continuing with our opposition advisory and supervisory role, as well as voting in the Kosovo Assembly agreements”, have expressed member of the LDK's leadership.

She has said the final condition for reaching an agreement with Serbia should be mutual recognition.

A ongoing dialogue on technical issues does not resolve the main issue. Reaching agreement with mutual recognition must be that umbrella, which paves the way for any other agreement. The key is for the youth dialogue to be completed as soon as”, Sahaqi has said, among other things.

The LDK official has also spoken of the establishment of the indictment against Serbia at the International Court of Justice for genocide against Kosovo during 1999, saying it should be treated carefully.

When it comes to genocide, most of them admit it happened. Kurt's moral demand is valid, but the application needs to be made carefully. In the worst case, if it turns out that it doesn't answer the terms of genocide we go back before 2008. This issue should be carefully analyzed”, it has added further.
