He has said that at this meeting he has placed the main emphasis on the issue of visa liberalisation and increased investments.
I have placed particular emphasis on the issue of visa liberalisation for Xova, but we also need investments in economies that increase employment and reduce migration. All Western Balkan countries will be able to move faster if they stick to three important values: Democraticisation, rule of Law and confrontation with the past, where war criminals are eliminated from the political scene. Even further in the Western Balkans, there are war criminals and peace that dominate with political parties. In this form conditions for hope and confidence will be created, Kurti said.
Kurt also said that today's meeting did not attend the leaders who were scheduled to come.
The “is clearly not the compound that was originally thought of. From Serbia, rather than the president, came the prime minister. It was an agreement that the next meeting be held in the Balkans. I stressed that the Western Balkans are in Europe, but the European Union must become Europe”, he said further.
On the other hand, Kurti also talked about dialogue, while underlining that with Vucinqi will meet in mid-June.
According to him, in this process it should start with a new chapter, and the only solution is mutual recognition.
It's going to be around the middle of June, I can't say exactly. There will be an appointment to discuss what the new chapter of this dialogue should be. We need to agree to the process before we can continue as it was in past governments. We want well prepared dialogue as equals. The solution is called in the form of soil word “mutual recognition. The mutual recognition is what would contribute a lot to”, he said.
“This is the meeting of Kosovo's prime minister with the president of Serbia, and from this meeting we need to see how much agreement there can be, and where there will be agreement on the way and the forward agenda. I am at the beginning of the mandate, while Vuciq is at the beginning of the mandate, my main concern is reforms in the state for which we have been voted”, Kurti said.
Kurti said he must meet with opposition leaders in advance.
There are two preliminary steps, which is meeting with opposition leaders in order to discuss the new chapter with dialogue, and discussing the current situation with Serbia, including agreements that should be addressed by the size of their implementation, as well as their” impact, Prime Minister Kurti said.
Although this has not been our priority, the European elites realize that we are called upon to present our new position and there is no legacy to insist on accounting. We are not against dialogue in principle, but we are for principle dialogue”, he said away.
