EU with extraordinary conference Tuesday for escalation of violence in the Middle East
Although this will be the first meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and Serbian President Vuciq, the same one is not expected to precede the resumption of dialogue. Meanwhile, frequent visits to Brussels and Kurti, oppositions are seeing as giving up all its political causes while in opposition.
The May 18th meeting in Brussels has confirmed the government's spokesman Kurti, Kryeziu Progress.
He says this meeting will not precede the resumption of dialogue, but will only serve communication and discussion of all the region's leaders with the EU for common interests.
The “will meet all representatives, the leaders of the Western Balkans respectively. This kind of organisation serves communication and discussion between all Western Balkan leaders and the European Union on what is considered common interests and goals. As well as the good opportunity they hold to discuss bilateral relations between Western Balkan countries with the European Union. It is a very good forum to have open discussions on the state's intentions in reports with the EU and other forms of co-operation”, he tells Kosovas.
However, frequent visits of this type, deputy PDK, Hajdar Beqa, is seeing them as contrary to Prime Minister Kurti's established priorities.
Most of the causes that Mr. Kurt had to come to power were fake causes. Now we're seeing that he has abandoned all the causes, I don't know what the cause is, as far as it was in the opposition. I have not seen Mr. Kurti's seriousness in dialogue, and I see it as some dangerous efforts for the country, because Kosovo is not being prepared before the international factor and there is no internal unity”, he declares.
Until, Emir Abrashi from Democracy Plus does not expect anything concrete from this meeting of leaders of the Balkan region.
Prime Minister Kurti's “Visit to Brussels 18 May is an informal visit. It is said to be a working dinner visit along with other regional leaders and representatives of the European Commission. I don't think there's going to be any movement on that meeting, but it can be discussed in a formal way. They may agree to have a meeting, but I don't believe there will be anything concrete about the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia”, he says.
This is Prime Minister Kurti's second visit to Brussels since taking office in March of this year.
