The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the chairman of the Scikyright municipality, Mr. Bekim Jashar, on the 40th anniversary of the assassination by Serbian security forces, discovered today in Prekaz the busts of four Drenica activists and fighters, Tahir and Nebir Meha, Emin Lati and Becir Meha, the prime minister's office reports.
Prime Minister Kurti gave a speech in the courtyard of the Meha family tower.
Prime Minister Kurti said in front of his family and other attendees that 40 years ago, except that it was time for demonstrations and strikes, political prisons and illegal activists, there was also the time of armed resistance, of resistance for freedom to the death.
“40 years later, they brought us together, again, here, in their beloved country which is now our free country”, Prime Minister Kurti said.
