Democratic Party of Kosovo Election Secretary Betim Djoshi at a media conference has criticised President Vjosa Osmani for not appointing the two representatives of political parties in the CEC, which has sent the issue to the Constitutional Court for interpretation.
Joci has stressed that the PDK has responded to President Osmani's invitation to nominated representatives for the Central Election Commission, relying on the country's right to appoint two representatives to the CEC as the second largest parliamentary group.
“Obeying the Vetevendosje Movement and Prime Minister Kurti, Ms. Osmani is violating the Constitution of Kosovo, unable to defeat the Democratic Party of Kosovo's second representation in the CEC, as well as not knowing the right to the political subject V AKAT, the most voted among the members of the Bosnian community.”, he said.
According to Djoshi, President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti, through efforts at the Constitutional Court, are attempting to steal the PDK's representation of the Constitution's Central Election Commission to make room in the CEC for the third member of Vetevendosje, which in this case is Osman's co-party, Gresa Byty Kelmendi, who has been competing in the February 14th elections with the number of 80x0>Lista Guxho.
“We are concerned by the facts presented in the media, showing that Mrs. Osmani is exploiting the President's office for the needs of her political subject, civic initiative “List Guxo”. President Osmani's political bias, favouring the Vetevendosje Movement and its subject “List Guso” is dangerous for democracy and the functioning of independent constitutional institutions. It is a flagrant violation of the Kosovo Constitution. ”
