Militants have fired more than 300 missiles to Israel since Monday evening, killing two Israelites.
Israel says it has hit 150 targets in Gaza as counter-responsive. The health minister said 26 Palestinians were killed, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
The international community has called on both sides to stop escalating the conflict.
The militant group Hamas, who controls Gaza, has said it is acting to protect the Al-Axis mosque in Jerusalem from the <x0-ccerion and Israeli terrorism”.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hamas “had crossed the red line” after firing missiles to Jerusalem for the first time in several years and that Israel will respond to the “even greater”.
Israeli Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Aviv Kochawi said Israeli forces would prepare for expansion of the operation in Gaza “without the time limit”.
