With 61 votes for LVV deputies along with those of the “List Srpska” has approved the Commission's recommendations for Economy, Industry, Intervention and Market over the proposal that the Kosovo System, Transition and Electricity Market Operator (KOSTT) assume responsibility for paying the current for the four northern municipalities.
The Vetevendosje movement, as it was the opposition party, for several consecutive and insistent years had rejected such an act. Now that the LVV is in power, the controversial actions of the former opposition now with absolute power appear to have been changed overall. Again, once again and again at this start, their opposition causes promises of deceit.
The 11m-euro payment will be made by COSTT. COSTT is the asset of Kosovo's citizens. COSTT budget is the state budget. COSTT is a public enterprise.
Moreover, the Assembly today has directly intervened in COSTT management and is most likely to have Kurti Government forced to return these means through budget review to COST.
This follow-up also shows that the Government has no clear plans for exit from this situation. The majority's statement that the Government is handed over to the legality in the north and the fear of the return of “police to the coffin” is as scandalous as a concession; above all, it is an offensive statement to all forces in office.
The Democratic League of Kosovo will closely monitor Vetevendosje deputies' pledges that within six months Government Kurti will extend authority and control in the four northern municipalities, ensuring that citizens there will pay their energy bills.
