In a Facebook post, Hoxhaj has said that “22 years ago was attacked by Serbian paramilitary forces one of the most powerful KLA bases in Prizren”.

22 years ago, on May 26th 1999, Serbian paramilitary forces attacked one of the most powerful KLA bases in the town of Prizren kh Trimian Quarter known as Tusuz and ruthlessly slaughtered 27 innocent civilians. In retaliation over the armed body of Verin's neighbourhood and villages under KLA leadership, Serbian forces did not spare civilians. The genocide Serbia must take responsibility.
Today, with accomplices we honoured the martyrs of Tusuz Massacre, who made the greatest sacrifice by sacrificing for Kosovo's freedom.
