Heidi: I didn't want to bring reciprocity to Serbia immediately

These statements, Hajdari made during the regional conference “economic impact and the consequences of the” crisis, organised by the Kosovo Afarism Oda and its partners, the North Macedonian Economic Oda West and the Vlora Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Hajdari said that how the minister aims to strengthen regional co-operation and solve problems, despite Serbia's doing everything to prevent our country. According to her, Kosovo is not well represented in regional initiatives, so it also sought support from the oda present at this conference.
Touching the subject of reciprocity, Hajdari indicated that he did not want to take this action immediately, expressing willingness to solve problems on the table through appropriate mechanisms.

Kosovo is not well represented (in regional initiatives), Kosovo often has challenges knowing that we have a neighbouring state that always hinders the signing of the Republic of Kosovo. But we together, with our cooperation, will work to be constructive with all neighboring states despite our sorrows, especially with one of the neighboring states that is key. I have not wanted to bring immediate reciprocity measures with no neighbouring state, I am interested in solving problems through regional mechanisms that we now have, starting in CEFTA, from the Council of Europe and the Regional Council for Co-operation and other mechanisms that can help us to develop and address all challenges in the regional aspect”, Hajdari said.
Hajdari said economic co-operation is the goal of all countries in the region, so he added that the initiative of this co-operation in some areas like tourism would be a good starting point.
She also called for the cooperation of Odas so that problems on the ground can be eliminated as quickly as possible.

Why not link our alps, our region, why not use our own opportunities and the sea to penetrate our goods? Why not make our offer as a tourist country in the Western Balkans, or we should say in Southeast Europe. We have many other challenges that maybe our countries don't intend for these to happen, but maybe on the ground these people make a mistake and it's good to be in communication as much as possible and address these problems that happen on the ground”, Hajdari followed.
The trade minister stated that just as any country that has been forced to take measures to protect the health of citizens from the COVID-19 pandemic, Kosovo has done the same, and its effects have been felt in all areas.
She said the government is committed to responding to all these challenges through certain principles and laws that will guarantee functioning and walking.

Finally, Minister Hajdari thanked all of the countries and regional partners at this conference for their support of the suggestions to promote regional co-operation.
