The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, as one of the former key commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, appears to have been affected by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement in Brussels after dinner with Borelli.
In addition to the reaction in Kosovo's Parliament, when he asked Kurti that “has recruited any Serbian service during the time you were in prison”, Haradinaj was taken with Kurti's statement even today during the visit to Dubrava, on the 22nd anniversary of the massacre there.
Haradinaj, referring to Kurti's words said by Brussels, has suggested it is wrong to say that the entire Balkans must be freed from war criminals.
According to Haradinaj, if it is said that the Balkans should be freed from war criminals is fallible and that if anyone should be freed from war criminals it is only Serbia.
We must be brave to tell the truth, to claim our right, our right has to come to light. Glory to all martyrs who fell for freedom”, Haradinaj said.
Prime Minister Kurti after dinner in Brussels had declared that all Western Balkan countries cannot move forward without eliminating war criminals from the political scene.
On the other hand, all countries in the Western Balkans will be able to walk much faster, if they stick to three, let's say, very important values. The first is democratisation, the second is rule of law, and the third is confrontation with the past, so they are eliminated from the political and institutional scene, war criminals. Even further in the Western Balkans, we have war criminals and criminals who dominate institutions and political parties, and this will end, and thus conditions will be created for even more hope, and more confidence in the future. The democratisation against autocratics, the rule of the law against monopoly and oligarchs and confrontation with the past, since we have experienced four wars in the Balkans, the responsibilities for which, and many of the culprits -- whether bylaw or by execution -- continue to be equipped with political power” -- has clarified Kurti.
