Germany's ambassador to Pristina, Jorn Rohde, has praised the Kosovo Government's stance to improve regional co-operation before the Berlin Process meeting.
“Encouraged by the Kosovo government's proactive stance to improve regional co-operation before the Berlin Process meeting with third country visas and identity cards travelling to the region”, the German diplomat writes on Twitter.
Otherwise, although Mini-Schengeni is not mentioned, the Kurti 2 government has pledged to participate in regional initiatives only as an equal party. Based on the governing programme, Kosovo will represent with a clear and independent profile the national interests of the country and its citizens in different forms of regional co-operation.
Our contribution will be constructive and will aim simultaneously to respect international norms. The Republic of Kosovo wants regional co-operation. But cooperation without discrimination is needed. This is true from knowing our state documents to representing our country. Just as Kosovo is recognised by the vast majority of EU and NATO member states, we also expect full respect of our sovereignty by the states of the region”, writes on the governing programme.
