Palestinian doctors said at least 12 people were killed during the night by air strikes in Gaza. Health officials said there is another woman and her three children among the dead after their house was hit in a refugee camp.
The Israeli Army said it has carried out attacks on a Hamas military intelligence building and on several missile launch sites in the northern part of Gaza, Reuters writes, broadcast the Express newspaper.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Palestine said Israeli planes have destroyed a mosque. A military spokesman said the military is controlling this report.
Across the border, alarm sirens were activated in large parts of southern Israel, causing residents to seek refuge. In the towns of Beersheba and Ashdod, the buildings were hit by missiles. There were no reports of injuries.
At least 132 people have been killed in Gaza on Monday, including 32 children and 21 women, while another 950 have suffered injuries, Palestinian medical officials said.
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities said that among the eight killed so far are a soldier who patrolled the border and six civilians, including two children.
