They say we are risking repeating our mistakes.
By co-ordinating state policies with private sector associations and opasions, we can make the most appropriate decisions on the management of pandemic and economy, against defeat, we will all be and the only solution remains the exit to”, said in response.
Here's the full reaction:
We are extremely concerned with the role of the state and its policies regarding the management of the impact of pandemic on the economy!
Even more disturbing is the fact that we are risking repeating mistakes we have been able to understand since 2020, for 2021.
Kosovo is among the countries that have made the biggest compromises in the region in terms of losing workers and closing businesses in 2020. Paradoxically, after the applied measures, which have been among the most severe and austerity, the latest in the region managed to make the provision of modest doses of anti-Convidian vaccines.
Compared to some of the countries in the region, we still stand unjustly with the tough measures. As temperatures have begun to rise and we are stepping down in the second part of the year or the summer season (the most important for each country's economy in the region), and we see that other countries compete with each other to bring down problems caused by the pandemic, Kosovo has not even the slightest idea about the tourism strategy in this period which has dropped more than 93%.
Most countries in the region compete for a very simple reason, because the production sector is behind the trade and service sector, as it is in Kosovo. It is evident that the influence of pandemic by affecting the powerful service sector is also more important to the economy.
With the trend continuing to approach our institutions, without vision and without plans for the summer season, we are risking losing the best chance that our economy will be set on fire to a degree by the shocks that have caused it.
In the gastronomia region, it is planning to open up other domains that are wedding halls, nightclubs, and festival organisation.
In Kosovo last year, over 100m euros have been lost only as a result of family holidays, where most of them have been postponed for next year.
This year the situation has changed because these 100m euros suspended in the preceding year will not be lost this year. There will be no delay in such celebrations as happened in the past year, and they will be held in places where their organization is possible.
For the latter, we have an example of Albania, which not only managed to provide huge doses of vaccines, but started with the vaccine of gastronomy and hotel. The same one along with Montenegro (which suffered a severe economic downturn in last year) enabled family parties to open this year, festivals and nightclubs. Because it takes time and time to open up. So these two countries are exploiting every opportunity to avoid and reduce the damage to the economy, while Kosovo is risking to deepen even more in the hole it created!
By co-ordinating state policies with private sector associations and options, we can make the most appropriate decisions on the management of pandemic and economy, and we're all going to be losers and the only solution remains to be taken to the streets!
