The early retirement of Guni Thaci, former President Hashim Thaci's older brother from the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, cost this institution over 176 thousand euros.
In the decision of the BKS Assembly, 2019 this institution took over to pay the full salary of 4 thousand euros, until the day Thaci was due to be in regular retirement. This meant that the BKS should pay 168 thousand euros in total without trust fees.
In the decision, it was specified that the payment to Gani Thaci should be made in two installments, not every month as he received his salary. This much farther payment would have to be carried out by January 2020.
The general wage rate in the retirement case will be paid to Mr. Gani Thaci is 42 months *4,000 euros = 168,000 euros, while on behalf of the pension contribution, from the employer BKS (5%) will be paid for 8,400.00 euros, totaling 176,400.00 euros”, the general assembly decision said.
Gani Thaci held the position of the General Co-ordinator for Strategic Planning before early retirement. Clearly, for years he held the position of Executive Director. It was the most powerful man within this institution, who replaces the Association of Insurance Companies and represented the insurance industry in Kosovo.
He was even involved in a beating with the director of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau (BKS), Blerim Pushcol and Security Company Council Chairman, Slovenian national Gianni Sokolic.
