French pilot sues friends: They tied me up and then they shot me in the plane.

A French pilot has filed a legal complaint, as he was subjected to a dangerous ritual, with which colleagues had linked him, while fighter planes opened fire around him, the pilot's lawyer said.

The new pilot had just been sent to an air base south of Corsica Island in March 2019 when he was picked up by colleagues and bound with glue. These details were made known to his lawyer, who spoke to the newspaper “La Provence”

After a bag had been placed in his head, the recruit in his 30 ' s had been sent to a firing field, tied to a point in the target, and then heard fighter planes opening fire and throwing ammunition near him for 20 minutes, reports the French newspaper.

Lawyer Frederick Berna told the AFP agency that he has filed complaints in a court in Marseille, and is expected to file charges of risking human life and serious violence against pilots, writes The Guardian.

This incident was reported only a few months after the three French soldiers were convicted of a brutal ceremony that ended in the death of a new recruit in 2012.

The 24-year-old victim was asked to swim in swampy waters in the middle of the night, also burdened with equipment in the body. Three soldiers, charged with murder, were convicted of the case.
