The Presevo Valley has been affected by a natural disaster in which floods from heavy rainfall have caused floods and material damage. The Emergency Staff has declared a state of emergency in two municipality villages that are most affected.
In addition to the investigation of damages, the collection of financial funds has begun. Presevo Mayor Ardita Sinani says she has sought financial support from the government of Serbia, but also from Kosovo and Albania.
To cope with this difficult situation for the Presevo municipality and for residents affected by the floods, I sought assistance from the government of Serbia. I was also written to the municipality and our citizens for help to the prime minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti and Mayor Tirana, Mr. Erion Veliaj”, Sinan says.
Meanwhile, Albanian MP in Serbia's parliament, Shaip Kamberi, says there has been damage to infrastructure, family businesses and home businesses, so he has called for help.
The Presevo needs help. He needs support. Encourage all institutional representatives in Kosovo and Albania to be found near Presevo and its citizens. Natural disasters cannot stop even if we all get together. But solidification and concrete support for repairing the situation, supporting damaged families and businesses, we can! Tirana, our common capital, took the first step. Thank you, Mayor Veliaj. Let's all be together. Be close to Presevo and Presevo”, Kamberi said.
