Lajcak has said he has served for a considerable time as minister of the Government of Slovakia and that he has learned from that experience that “it is not you who choose priorities, but they choose you”.

This, according to Lajcak, also applies to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, specifying that all priorities Kurti has mentioned are related to Kosovo's European path and dialogue.

According to him, dialogue is not something I can expect and avoid.

I was a minister in my country for a long time. And it's not about choosing priorities, but choosing priorities. And that's also about dialogue. Dialogue is not expected; it is present in all that you do. We support priorities such as job creation and justice”, Lajcak said in the organisation of “Italia Institute for International and Political Study” on the topic “The Geopolitical Gates in the Balkans”.
