To mark Europe's Day, the European Union Office and the European House in Kosovo have organised numerous cultural, educational and entertainment activities. The chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, told Online Economy that organised activities aim to convey Kosovo's pro-Europeanism.

“Today is Europe's Day, and we want to celebrate this special day for the European Union together with the citizens of Kosovo and we are fortunate that the weather is very good today and we will have a variety of activities, including some physical and virtual activities, not only in Kosovo but also in the region. So I think it is important to reinforce Kosovo's position as part of the Western Balkans and promote the message of Kosovo's European future and the entire region”, Szunyog said.

Europe's Week opened with activity titled “The Home Street Art”, where renowned international and local artists painted the Arberia / Dragodan neighbourhood steps with a special message to preserve the environment.

Szunyog says he hopes that this activity will give Pristina color.

I am very pleased that we now have the practical demonstration of Europe Day here on the stairs using European Union colors, as well as to color Pristina and more optimistic with the works of Belgian artists. The colors that will be used are stable colors, so we hope this will be a valuable contribution to Pristina's development as a European town”, he said.

Then, at the European House in Pristina, the masterpieces of the talented young artists of the Da Vinci Course Art School and the Association of Autism have been introduced.

In addition, Szunyog took part in the “Youth Biseda of the Western Balkans” event, where young Western Balkan countries discussed the EU countries' ambassadors for tools of co-operation between young people of the Western Balkans and the European Union.

To mark Europe's Day, the Quartet “Aureum Saxofon Quarters will hold a virtual concert at 17:45, the event supported by the Austrian Embassy in Kosovo.

The “concert for you, with Yu” organised in honour of Europe Day, brings the performance of the biggest stars of modern music scene, starting at 20:45.

Meanwhile, to learn more about the European Union on May 10th, children will ask Ambassador Szunyog questions, with a brief session.

The activities continue with the quiz “how well you know the EU” where you can play to prove your knowledge of the European Union and win various awards.

On 12 May, the virtual exhibition “hands open, with the masterpieces of young and talented artists from Da Vinci Course Art School and the Association of Attism.

Meanwhile, on May 14th, winners of the “EU support for Kosovo” will be declared by a professional jury, where the most original and creative photos will be declared winners.
