In a tweet, the Minusma mission called for calm in the poor African country.
This comes after reports that President Nwaw and Prime Minister Owane were taken by soldiers to the Katti military camp near the capital of Bamakos, writes BBC, translates Periscopi.
This raises fear of a second stick within the year in this country, writes BBC, translates Periscope.
Defence Minister Souliemane Doucoure is also reportedly arrested.
Monday evening, Mr. Owane [the prime minister] told the AFP on the phone that soldiers “came to tie”. The news agency said afterwards that the phone line was cut.
The African Union, the Economic Community of the West African States and the EU and the United States have condemned such a company by the military, saying that the mountain politicians must be released without any precondition.
The arrests in question came after an army formation, where two senior army officials who had participated in last year's stamp had been replaced. /Periscope
