Erdogan, after the government meeting, criticised Beden for adopting the sale of Israeli weapons.

The Joe Biden administration has approved a possible $735m sale in Israel, and convention sources said today they do not expect opposition to the agreement despite the conflict between Israel and Palestinian extremists.

“You are writing the story with bloody hands”, Erdogan said, criticising the US administration for adopting a new decision to sell weapons to Israel, which is leading to non-proportional “attacks in Gaza, triggering the martyrdom of hundreds of thousands of people”.

The Turkish president has criticised Western powers for their poor response to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Erdogan, a vocal defender of Palestinians, contacted world leaders last week, appealing to take strong action against Israel.

In addition to the United States, he attacked Europe on Monday, condemning Austria because of the deployment of the Israeli flag to a government building in Vienna on Friday.

“Austria wants Muslims to pay the price for the Jews on whom she committed genocide,” said Erdogan.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called the deployment of the Israeli flag a sign of solidarity.

An Austrian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said that “is clear to us since every day when Hamas opens more than two thousand rockets in the civil army in Israel, we cannot silence”.

The Israeli Air Force carried out numerous attacks in Gaza today, while Palestinian militants fired missiles in Israeli cities, despite US diplomatic efforts and regional acts, which so far have not stopped the deadly fighting.

Erdogan also sent a strong message to Israel. “They are killers, until the killing of children five or six,” he said.
