The European Commission proposed to the bloc's member states easing the current restrictions on non-moral travel for citizens of so-called third countries.
The recommendation applies to the citizens vaccinated against the coronary, but on the condition that their immunization is performed with vaccines approved by the European Barnave Agency. EMA has so far approved Pfizer Company vaccines/ BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca.
The Russian vaccine, Sputnik, is awaiting confirmation by EMA, and its green framework for use in the EU as well. The Commission's proposal clearly finds that all persons from third countries, who are vaccinated with one of these vaccines, can travel to the European Union.
The European Commission proposes to allow for entry into the EU, for non-elebial travel, not only those coming from countries with good epidemiology situations, but also those who have received the latest recommended dose of vaccine approved by the EU”, the bloc's executive wing document says.
The EU imposed last March when the pandemic erupted restrictions on all celebratory trips. With the aim of avoiding the risk of importing new coronary variants, the commission has also called for the use of the so-called <x0 emergency frequency”, which would enable the establishment of rapid travel restrictions for countries where the health situation suffers an immediate deterioration. /tch
