Despite this Wednesday day, Kosovo has resumed its vaccine campaign against corruption, following the admission of 4,680 Pfizer Company vaccines/ B ONTech on May 4th. But even these vaccines are dedicated to health workers. The vaccine process is currently continuing at the 1 October Hall in Pristina.
Health experts are seeing this process as unrealistic.
Ilir Tolaj in a statement given to Kosovo Radio said Pfizer vaccines had to be dedicated to the population in line for vaccine. Health workers who have refused Astra Zeneca vaccine at this stage were not supposed to be the priority of the vaccine.
“health workers have left the line that was dedicated to them. It's unfair to avoid a vaccine and cut another vaccine until the rest of the population has this comfort waiting for”.
This speaks of an unpleasant level even humanitarian in terms of respecting people's rights in the order of the vaccine, Tolaj said.
In the Ministry of Health said these vaccine doses will be used for vaccinating health workers, who have not been able to vaccinate in the first phase of vaccine for health reasons, for which they should have evidence.
One of the doctors, children's surgeon Sejdiu Statovci, who was waiting in line to vaccinate with the Pfizer vaccine, said that AstraZeneca's vaccine did not take it, with the argument that it had just gone through Covid-19's disease and that medical experts had to spend some time behind the disease to vaccinate.
I didn't get it because that's what I was recommended, because I spent it at the time on Coddy. I think either it should be passed through Coved, which is life threatening or vaccinating, Statovci said.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he is aiming to vaccinate endangered groups before the summer season, and to proceed with the rest in line with the State Vaccination Plan against Codvi-19.
