Because of the COVIID-19 Pandemia that included the Republic of Kosovo in 2020 and the government's measures, with private sector closure and reduced activity, we have a decline in average wage, both gross and net in this sector. As in the private sector, we have the highest number of employees in relation to the total number of employees in the country, which has affected the decline of the average salary, as well as nete in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Private sector data does not include additions to the monthly salary, because they are included in the annual declaration as circulation. Until the public sector (the budget paid by the Republic of Kosovo budget) notes a more significant increase in gross wages and net wages, compared to the previous years, which has come due to the benefits of additions in specific sectors.
In 2020, the average gross wage in Kosovo was 466 euros, until 477 Euros were in 2019. So there was an 11-euro drop from the previous year. And the net wage, in 2020, was 416 Euros, compared to 2019, which was 430 Euro. So a 14-euro drop.
The average gross salary in the private sector in 2020 was 380 Euros, until by 2019 it was 411 Euros. So there was a drop of 31 Euros. And the average net salary for 2020 was 342 euros, compared to 2019, which was 372 Euros. So a drop of 30 Euros.
The average gross public sector salary in 2012 was 407 euros, until in 2020 it was 624 Euro, rising for 217 Euros, or 53.3%. While the average net salary of 366 euros, as it was in 2012, rose to 552 Euro in 2020. An increase of 186 Euros, 50.8%.
The average gross salary in the public enterprise sector in 2012, was 561 euros, until 2020 was 769 Euro. A 208 increase Euros or 37.1%. And the average net salary of 502 euros, as it was in 2012, rose to 680 Euros in 2020. A total of 178 Euros, or 35.5%.
The highest wage rate in Kosovo was the public enterprise sector, until with lower salaries was the private sector.
The average gross salary in 2020, according to economic activities, was higher in - supply with electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (956 Euro); and information and communication (697 Euro). While the lowest salary was in accommodation and food services activities (218 Euro).
The average net salary in 2020, according to economic activities, has the same ranking as the following: Energy supply, gas, steam, and air conditioning (842). Euro); Information and communication (616 Euro); The accommodation and food services (,200 Euro).
