We're burning up: The world at risk of reaching its temperature limit very quickly

It is becoming increasingly possible that the key limit of the global temperature will be reached within one of the next five years. A major study says that by 2025 there is a 40% chance that at least a year to become 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit faster than at the pre-industrial level. This is the low point [...]
A major study says that by 2025 there is a 40% chance that at least a year to become 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit faster than at the pre-industrial level.
This is the low point of two temperature limits set by the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, writes the BBC, translates Periscope.
The conclusion was in a report published by the World Meteorology Organisation [WMO].
Analysis is based on the design by the United Kingdom Meteorological Office and climate researchers in 10 countries, including the United States and China.
In the last decade, it was estimated that one of these years would reach 1.5 degrees higher, as mentioned above, was 20 percent.
Now, the new assessment puts the risk at 40%.
This means that we're getting closer to the 1.5 we're not there, but we're getting closer,” said Leon Hermason, scientist.
Time is running out for the strong action we need now.” /Periscope
