“Police security controls ended without any identification of any danger,” said the German capital's police spokeswoman.
“Passengers continued their journey to Poland on another plane,” she added, without clarifying alarm reasons. According to the German newspaper Bild, the bomb warning was false.
The plane had 160 passengers and made an emergency landing at Germany's 20:08 local time at Brandenburg Airport in Berlin, south of the German capital.
According to German media, passenger luggage was controlled by specially trained dogs while the plane was surrounded by police trucks and fires. “Aeroplane Ryanair requested an emergency landing and was immediately allowed to leave,” told Bild, Jan-Peter Hook, the airport spokesman.
In July 2020, a Ryanair jet on the same road made an emergency landing in London after a bomb warning that also proved to be false.
