Biden: More than half of all Americans have worked in restaurants

U.S. President Joe Biden said that in a three-American, they had their first job at a restaurant.

He said it is an industry that offers more opportunities to minority managers than any other.
Biden said “Our new Restor Revival Fund, made possible by the American Rescue Plan, will provide direct relief for restaurants and other institutions hit by food bars, ovens, food stands, trucks, food suppliers”.

For nearly one in three Americans, a restaurant secured their first job. Over half of all Americans have been working in a restaurant at some point in their lives. This is an industry that offers more opportunities to minority managers than any other. This is an industry where staff feels like family and is often family.

Our new Restor Revival Fund, made possible by the American Rescue Plan, will provide direct relief for restaurants and other institutions hit by bars, ovens, food stands, food trucks, food supplies. We are deciding the American Rescue Plan to function quickly and effectively and by telling the American people that their government can give back to them”, he said.
