Berisha '%non-grata from America comes the reaction of Lulzim Basha

Following the US decision, where Berisha proclaimed non-greet many political figures have reacted, the response of Democrat leader Lulzim Basha has recently come.

In his status Basha has been on a line with Berisha's response a few hours ago.

Dr. Berisha is certainly the Albanian leader who has made the most valuable contribution to the country's development and strengthening democracy, and led Albania's friendship and strategic alliance with the US to the highest levels.

While Mr. Berisha was prime minister, Albania met all reforms necessary for NATO membership, as well as receiving candidate country status for the European Union, where fighting corruption and organised crime were committed. In all these key Albanian Government partners were the United States of America.

Unfortunately, otherwise it has been in these eight years, where because of massive corruption in every sector and power links with organised crime, Albania has remained at a standstill in implementing reforms the country needs, as a NATO member and aspiring member of the European Union.

Today's decision by the State Secretary does not affect Albania's major achievements under the direction of Sali Berisha, its major contribution to Albania's democratisation, and the reforms that brought the country closer to our Euro-Atlantic partners, and much less the Democratic Party's excellent relationship with the United States.

We consider the US our most important strategic ally for Albania, and the fight against organised crime and corruption as the absolute national priority.

The Democratic Party is determined to continue without any compromise in the fight against corruption and organised crime, in behalf of democracy, rule of law, transparency and welfare of Albania and the Albanian nation.
