Albania's former president, Sali Berisha, at an extraordinary news conference, has announced that he will file charges against US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who yesterday disclosed the news that former Prime Minister Berisha and his family are barred from entering the US due to corruption.

I authorized my lawyer in France to file a lawsuit against Mr. Public libel. Mr. Blinken may claim that he has immunity. That's a lie. Immunity today is assessed by the” courts, Berisha said at the conference.

On the other hand, he added that Secretary Blinken slandered her.

For reasons which are completely unknown to me, Antony Blinken published yesterday without any warning and in a slanderous manner a decision on my personality”, Berisha said.

“Since I started my political life and since I've touched the first state salary and across tonight, there is no one in Albania or in the world who can say I've been or I've been involved in any relationship”, Berisha said.
