The survey has found that people's support for democracy remains high, although citizens in democratic states value their state higher in managing pandemic than citizens of less democratic states.
Inequality is seen as the biggest threat to global democracy, but in the United States, huge technology companies are also being seen, writes The Guardian, translates Periscopi.
The findings came in a survey ordered by Donation “Alliance for Democracy” with 50,000 residents from 53 different states.
The most terrifying finding was that almost half [44 percent] of residentials in these 53 countries were viewing the United States as a threat to democracy in their countries, until only 38 percent China and only 28 percent of Russia.
Since last year, the perception of American influence as a threat to democracy worldwide has increased significantly.
Countries with the worst impressions of America's negative influence remain Russia and China.
There has already been an increase in the anti-American Senate in Kosovo in recent months. /Periscope
