Ambassador's wife slaps the worker, the ambassador gets fired

Images of the incident show Peter Lescouhier's wife, Xiang Xueqiun, slap a supermarket worker in April.

The staff wanted to check the clothes she had taken for hers, after worrying she might have stolen, writes BBC, translates Periscope.

Mrs. Xiang had later met the worker in question and had apologised for the unacceptable “bringing”, Belgium's Foreign Affairs Ministry said.

But, Foreign Minister Sophie Wildes decided to download Mr. Lescouhier from his post three years after he took up this role because of the incident. /Periscope
