American Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim spoke for the first time to the media after the State Department's decision to ban US entry to Sali Berisha and his family.
She says Albania is changing and that she will be a member of the European Union. He stressed that rule of law must prevail.
“Albania is changing. Albania will be EU members, is an ally and a friend of the US. Rule of law must prevail. To get there, no one can be above the law. The days of impunity must be over. This is not just your project, but a project that we can do together”, Kim said during a press proposal while attending the “Defender Europe 21” exercise in Vlora.
Asked about the indictment Berisha has filed against US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Kim replied: “I have no idea what you're talking about!”
