Former Albanian chief prosecutor with strong statement: Former EU ambassador asked me to arrest Sali Berisha

Former Adriatic Chief Prosecutor Lella has made a strong statement today, while declaring former EU Ambassador to Tirana Romana Vlahin has asked former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to arrest him. The Declaration in English, Lella, made it in an interview for Chim Peka's show. Mr. Lalla, you are not the only one who has been threatened by an ambassador [...]
Mr. Lalla, you're not the only one who's been threatened by an American ambassador, in this studio where you're sitting is the sensational statement by President Meta who said:
Ambassador Kim asked me to break the law because, as Meta said, we have things for you; so it's a direct blackmail.
Meanwhile, Mr Berisha has been surprisely announced by the US as you in the same arguments, and the UN spokesman's response is with motivation that opinion in Albania and the region is convinced of corruption, but no evidence is required from us. Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha have been requested by the Adriatic Llala as chief prosecutor to arrest?
This is the subject that I've already expressed and it seems inappropriate to return to this discussion and not repeat it.
Last time, but have you been specifically asked to arrest Sali Berisha specifically by an ambassador?
For Berisha, yes, I have been asked to be arrested -- a request made by EU Ambassador Romana Vlahti to be arrested and followed by Croatia's example.
She told me that for Albania to enter the EU, it must follow Croatia's path and arrest Sali Berisha and you have the chance to show your strength to help Albania join the EU. She's taken advantage of the case that was in the diplomat's status, because under other conditions it's unacceptable for any free citizen to be asked without evidence is absurdity that requires entering the offices of an independent state and being imposed on such forms.
Did you announce this request to Albanian institutions?
Yes, I informed Mr. Nishani, president of the Republic, and Mr. Meta, who was parliament speaker.
How did Nishani react?
Mr. Nishani found it incredible. Vlahti had gone immediately after meeting me, to Meta's office to clarify this debate, in advance of any possible reaction to him, the moment Meta contacted me and explained what the situation was like.
Have you had proof for Sali Berisha?
In no case has the investigation provided evidence for Sali Berisha to be involved in a situation of lawlessness.
Have Berisha ever been indicted by the Rama government in the prosecutor?
Not a case.
In a letter you sent to the U.S. Congress it's been made in public media and I don't know how true the content is, did you say it was requested by US Ambassador Meta's arrest?
For Mr. Meta himself was positioned, and after meeting Lu, he was incorrectly expressed himself; I trust the ambassador rather than the Albanian prosecutor.
For Berisha, there has been a request for arrest only by Vlahti and not by the American ambassador.
Not the American ambassador. /Balkanweb
