AKP board chairman who was dismissed today: We're not thieves.

Bajram Zejnullahu, the chairman of the already dismissed board of the Kosovar Privatisation Agency (AKP), told Radio Free Europe that during the period he has led the board of this agency, there has been no scandal labeled as hajina Rancho, as Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti called them. I have no comment, nor do I [...]
I have no comment, neither I nor my family are labeled thieves. I don't know if there are any arguments he argues about as thieves. As long as I've been there, we haven't had a single scandal. I understand perfectly, politically firing you and we're fine. But in this form of labels, I don't understand”, Zejrullah said.
Zejnullahu headed the AKP board from 2019 and had a four-year term.
The Kosovo Assembly, at the recommendation of the Parliamentary Commission for Economy, Industry, entrepreneurship and trade on May 27th, dismissed the AKP board.
This Commission has also recommended to the Government of Kosovo to propose the new composition of the AKP board.
This issue was put in order of the day at the request of the Parliamentary Group of Vetevendosje Movement. According to this party, the AKP has not served the Kosovo economy and had poor performance in relation to development investments and promotion of employment.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the parliamentary session said that it is important to dismiss the board to shut down the AKP.
They stole a lot, but we don't let them steal anymore, stole wages, stole in privatisation, were paid to steal”, Kurti said.
A day earlier, the AKP board, through a public reaction, has found that public statements about poor performance are unfounded and biased, so as such, they have considered the political positions of only one parliamentary group.
Kosovo's government in the four-year government plan has seen the AKP die down and be transferred to agencies within the government and the Development Agency for Development Policy Guidance between ministries and independent agencies.
