The meeting was said that police hour will soon be lifted and parties allowed first in the summer season when even exiles will arrive.
“This was welcomed by the mayors of the municipalities, who rightly assessed the request of the Kosovo Communists Association days ago for the removal of the police hour and the easing of measures since these will have a direct impact on local economic development”, the AKK report said.
After discussions by mayors, they were informed that according to last month's epidemiological analysis, the results are promising, but respect for the measures has no alternative despite the drop in cases.
At the release of the measures, following consultations with mayors, the situation will be assessed within this week and the police hour is expected to be lifted, and by mid-June measures related to holidays will also be eased. Locals are expected to be allowed to work until 12 p.m., while wedding arrangements are expected to be allowed by June 15th.
At this meeting, Minister Vitita thanks the mayors for the overall co-operation, stating that their work is very responsible since the citizen's first door is municipal, and often municipalities are forced to take on many decisions at the central level.
“Minister Vitita said that currently our main topic is the screening process, and 100,000 new vaccines are expected to come Friday, where the process of mass suspension of citizens will begin. We have also now facilitated procedures for application for action on the e-Kosovo platform, but even municipalities have helped register elderly people for the screening process”, the report said.
